ABOUT
I am an Early Childhood Education teacher with a Bachelor of
Science degree in Early Childhood Development and a Master
of Science degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I have many
years working (~5 years) as a teacher for Pre-Kindergarten and
Kindergarten. I worked at a progressive school (La Piazza Academy) for three years where we used different philosophies such as Reggio Emilia, Montessori, and others to create a curriculum that would stimulate the creative part of children. I love to use everyday things to teach my children. I believe children need to nurture their social-emotional development at an early stage, and so I work on activities that involve interactions between children so that they can learn to express themselves. I received training and certification for "Research Strategies in the Classroom from a Socio-Constructive Approach" at Nido La Casa Amarilla and Dinamica in Peru where I learned how to expand my pedagogical resources by designing and putting into practice innovative strategies that enrich educational action. After La Piazza Academy, I was offered a job at Gulliver Academy where I was a Faculty Assistant for two years. I was hired for my progressive education approach and I adapted my knowledge of creative thinking to the Creative Curriculum from Gulliver Academy. In my free time, I love to spend time with my furry son, Snow.
